"The Lodge" at Hunters Creek is a compound with two full houses on approximately 9 acres of a peninsula along Buffalo Bayou. Inspired by Hearst Castle and the Biltmore Estate, the owner and architect Ken Newberry collaborated to design this landmark structure of Indiana limestone, steel, and concrete. Custom architectural details and hand-selected antiques, including the Parisian library spiral staircase and European fireplaces, enhance the property. The main house features a grand foyer, formal dining room, salon, library, open kitchen and family room, bar, six ensuite bedrooms, and more. The outdoor area includes a park-like wooded setting, pool, spa, and pool house with full kitchen and bar. A gravel driveway leads to the guest lodge, which overlooks Buffalo Bayou and the Houston Country Club golf course. The guest lodge has two bedrooms and a private pool and spa.
